Sky + (Pace) Digibox failure after re-locating

    Guys,

I've just moved house and thought I was being very smart with my plan to not only bring my Sky + & Multiroom set up with me, but get another Sky + box too, as follows:

    a) Bring Dish with Quad LNB to new house, feed two rooms with a pair of feeds each, then set up current Sky +, and current Multiroom

    b) Cancel Sky sub without delay, and get wife to order new deal from Sky to get Sky +

    c) When new dish arrives, I end up with a pair of mirrored Sky +s, a third plain old digibox, and redundant but valuable feeds to all 4 bedrooms.

Everything went fine with the move, the guy had the dish up without any probs - until I connected up my Sky + box to the feed from the re-located dish, and got "Searching for listings" and nothing more. The standard box in the other room hooked up with no probs, and I've also switched them in case it was a dodgy cable run - no joy. Standard box still works perfectly, with nothing onthe Sky +.

(This is much longer than I'd intended!)

Any advise, short of "throw it out"?

    Try a reset?

    IS the new Sky+ OK?

Have you tried the regular Sky box on BOTH sky+ coax feeds?

    Watty,

New Sky+ hasn't actually arrived (that bit of the plan is still just a plan). Also, now that you mention it, I think I only connected the standard Sky box to one of the Sky + feeds; I'll try that again right now and report back.

I tried all three suggestions on Friday night, and still got the same sh*tey message back afterward. Then on Sat lunchtime I switched on the TV to try and tune in an aerial connection, and hey presto, the Sky + promo channel was on. Have no idea how - even the installer told me to throw the box in the bin - yet here it is working perfectly*, recording and all.

    * EPG only goes forward about 8 hours at a time, not sure how long this will last.

    BTW, Thanks Watty.

It may be because it's a sky+ box,try the standard box on that connection,if it works then you will have to call sky

I only noticed this last night, having (as described above) relocated my dish, Sky +, and standard Sky box last week:

The Message "No Satellite signal is being recieved" appears on Sky Movies1 , 2, 3, 4 & 8. Also Eurosport. All other channels are working fine. This is exactly replicated on both boxes. I can't figure this one out - surely the dish must be aligned correctly if the vast majority of channels are coming in fine?

    Anyone any experience of this?

Not necessarily although this may also be an lnb problem.
