It's not so much what I'm willing to spend ( a weekend away is not beyond the realms of possibility) just looking to see what other women might like.

Well if your looking to be romantic, the best thing i could suggest to you would be a weekend away in a health spa, every woman loves to relax once in a while specially if there is a baby in the house it might be nice for her to get a break for a day or two?? she could plan to go in January

If your looking for a stocking filler idea.. I saw a great book in Urban Outfitters... Its called "How to change a light bulb.. A Womans Guide to Everything" tells you how do everything from changing the oil in your car to blow drying your hair without damaging it... Its on my To Santa list anyway...
    Its a pink hardback book..

Morphy Richards seem to be pushing for people to buy Irons this christmas. I've got one for each of my siblings, both my parents and the dog. And I'm hopeing for one myself...

Go on I'm sure she'd appreciate it...

You gave her a baby, what more does she want? Women like babies.

Seriously though, Chanel no.5. Or Shiseido gear.

    Go DIY!
Paint her a nice picture of something she likes, and get it framed.

Or somebody mentioned a helicopter trip around Dublin a while back on another thread, I'd say that'd be pretty cool.

I think you are LOVELY.....and since you have a bub in the house I would also agree with a day spa/massage/facial/hair etc..

If you are confident about knowing her taste in perfume/makeup/products, then you could make up a gift basket of all those things....then get the bub looked after for a night etc and go the whole 'night in' thing.

It really depends on her personality etc...she may be sporty and into gym gear, or she may love books (get a voucher for her fave book shop).

Make her breakfast in bed on her special day, get up for the bub int he night if you can......

Get a pic of you/her/the bub or all three of you framed in a gorgeous frame.

But most of all just remind her that she is a beautiful person, the mum of your bub..........and that you love her! That goes a LONG way!

    :)

    Rach

Edited to add that this is an idea I have seen and loved for a while, we have our 'own' thing here in Aus, but here is a site that may give you an idea www.starregistry.com

hes looking for something a bit "different" perfume is hardly original is it??

Concert/theatre tickets etc. can be a nice gift if you know that there's something coming up she'd like to see... and with you having a new baby in the house it might be nice for her to know that there's a grown-up night out for the two of you on the horizon where she can get dressed up and you can maybe take her out for dinner before too.

Shouldn't be too difficult to find a babysitter for one night either, rather than leaving the baby with someone for a whole weekend.

And jewellery, concert tickets etc are?

Stop being so narky. It was just a suggestion.

P.S....since you don't know, Chanel and Shiseido do far more than just perfume.

Different yes, but make it expensive!! I don't care what anyone says, sure it's the thought that counts aswell, but when it's thoughtful and expensive, she'll be well impressed. And when I say thoughtful, I mean different also!!

Had the same idea a while back and checked it out. Seems that no organisation whatsoever has any validity. You're really just buying a false certificate.

How about a piece of jewellery? €500 could buy you something nice; maybe something diamond set with the babys or her birthstone in the middle?

Or does she collect anything/have a particular interest in anything? You could get her something to add to the collection.

    Have been doing more thinking.....

Is she into astrolgy or that sort of thing.......you could get her astrological chart done professionally, or get her aura read etc.

How about alot of tender Loving Care! If she has been busy with Baby Try giving her a massage giving her all the attention she deserves! (You can purchase some really gorgeous massaging oils) After all she is the Lady in your Life!

Also maybe book a couple of nights away with her girlfriends! I'm sure she hasn't been anywhere for a while?
