Pighead thinks that might have been masteroftherealms 1000th post. Perhaps he was making a political statement towards the posters who tend to go:
"Woohoo lol rofl,100 posts for me, lets celebrate with imaginary vodka"
Perhaps this is the anti-celebratory post.Perhaps its his stand against mindless drivel. Or maybe hes just gone bananas.

Sorry to go off topic for a second but Pighead...for God's sake...I don't mind the whole talking in the third person thing...but will you put some spaces between your sentences. Two spaces after a full stop is common place....:)

You're spot on fade2black. Pighead promises to make a concerted effort to fix this annoying problem in the future. This way looks way better. Maybe people will stop getting angry at Pighead in future now that hes sorted out his formatting problems. Respect to fade and good formatting.

The "Mozilla/X.y" is an historical thing. A quick google reveals that back in the day, many webmasters used the User-Agent to serve different, less-impressive pages to the IE browser. Consequently, MS changed the User-Agent header to Mozilla/x.y so that IE users could see the full content of web pages.

And this is how it's been ever since. It's the comments (in the brackets) that you need to read. The "MSIE 6.0" comment tells you what browser it really is.

According to those stats, just over half of all visitors are using IE6. Which is quite different to the overall stats for browser usage.

Like Seamus says, IE emulates the Mozilla engine in its headers, it used to do this so that webservers didn't give it an error saying something along the lines of "This page works best on Netscape." You can identify it because it lists itself as Mozilla 4.0, where as all Gecko-based browsers (Firefox, Netscape 6+, Mozilla) all list themselves as Mozilla 5.0

    So, your browsers are...
    1 3351462 13.44% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET
-- Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP SP1 or 2 with .NET support
    2 2953677 11.84% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)
-- Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP SP1 or 2 without .NET support
    3 2813882 11.28% Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gec
-- Mozilla/Firefox/Netscape 6, US edition on Windows XP
    4 2249094 9.02% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)
-- Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP
    5 1460056 5.85% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0)
    -- Internet Explorer 6 on Windows 2000
    6 1371562 5.50% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1

    7 1069743 4.29% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1
-- Internet Explorer 6 on Windows 2000 with .NET support
    8 857142 3.44% Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.7.5) Gec
-- Mozilla/Firefox/Netscape on Windows XP, UK edition
    9 536688 2.15% Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gec

    10 417226 1.67% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98)

    15 242332 0.97% Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; FunWebProd)
-- No idea what the hell this is

Interesting that the top 15 user agents only account for ~70% of the total, meaning theres a lot of oddball browsers being used on boards, probably a substantial number of people using Linux-based OS's, or Oprea...

I quite often find Pighead's postings quite amusing, but did you post a while back about the lack of propper grammer and spelling of the boards users. I noticed several mistakes in your postings and was going to do a detailed list until I noticed just how many there was. I don't have the time to do a complete run through, that would just take too long so here's one or two examples of your errors within this thread:

    its - should be it's
hes - should be he's (several times)

Now don't get me wrong. I am by no means perfect, but I do try.

    Proper grammar

Shouldn't really cast stones and all that jazz ;)

Ali doesn't seem to link to boards.ie in any of the first 6 pages of google results.
How did that come about? Did anyone here find boards.ie by googleing ali?

That's for historical reasons. :) Look at the User Agent string (the bit in brackets) and you'll see 'MSIE'.
