Cork lap dancing clubs

Can any one suggest one or two lap dancing clubs in Cork city? (Come on the city!) Only one I know is the "Great Escape" on Leitrim street and not sure if that one is still open.

Gf wants to 'drag' me to one this weekend, I took a lot of convincing:D

place on the end of leitrim street, beyond great escape.. next to the statoil garage. I know theres at least one other, just cant think of it now.

There's another one called Secrets; JohnK and adam (but not me, for some reason) got given flyers for the place while we were trying to get to the Long Island. No idea where it is or if it's any good, but I know several people at work who've shelled out a couple of hundred euro in the place towards the end of a long night out....

As far as I know Angels (Great Escape) is the only one left Someone said to me Secrets had closed down Not totally sure whether it is or not though

I haven't been to one in ages tbh. The best one around at the time we used to go was an Angels or Secrets on Leitrim Street, but it's not the one the lads are talking about (by the Statoil, the Brewery Tap?); it was actually on the way to there. I think it's closed down now because of claims of seedy activity, but it was the best at the time because the girls actually seemed to enjoy themselves, and they'd come up and chat with you, rather than immediately jump into a sales patter.

This is the problem with these clubs -- in general they're a seedy business by default, so it's easy for the girls, the bouncers and the owners to let them get seedier. The one still on Leitrim Street seems to be around the longest though, which is a good sign. It's tacky inside, but fun tacky, and the girls are quite good looking. They don't look like they're having fun though, and when they approach you there's no beating around the bush, which is a total turnoff. Again though, it's been a few years.

I can't speak for the lapdances in any case, because I go to these places for the beer and the articles. Seriously, I don't get the point of lapdances, the entire concept of giving a girl money to get you horny and then walk away is just beyond me. I've had one, in the place mentioned above, and it was grand. Frustrating, but grand.

The night I got one my friends had a competition to get the most lapdances. One of them went into double figures on dances and triple figures in cash, while I spent not far off that at the bar. Needless to say, we kept the lapdance nights for special occasions.

TOP TIP: If the girls are being annoyingly persistant, tell them you're gay. After the second one tries it on, you won't be bothered again for the rest of the night.

I went to secrets one night for a laugh!... To be honest most of the girls were nothing special!.... There was one or two stunners alright but I could have done better than most of them!! hehe
..... There was this one there she was around 20 stone and was wearing a leapard print leotard!.... uhhh... what a site... ive never seen so much celulite!!!
.... the only other one in Cork is Angels which used to be the great escape!
