    howya corelon.
heres a bit of info for you.:)

Marcos first produced its classic 2-seater coupe way back in 1964, hard to imagine that this basic body-shape is still being produced, although in much modified form. Marcos took the unusual step in using laminated plywood for its chassis construction and GRP for the outer body-panels.

Another unusual feature was that the front seats were fitted to the rear bulkhead, therefore the driving position had to be adjusted by altering the pedal box position (with a small wheel under the dash).

The Marcos 1600 used the Ford Cortina Mk II GT engine which developed 88bhp. This new engine was a significant improvement to the 1500 engine used in the original 1500 model.
    Engines
    Capacity Config Model Bore/Stroke CR
    1599cc S4 OHV Ford Kent 81mm x 77.6mm
    1650cc S4 OHV

    Top Speed 0-60

That particular car in the picture is currently for sale here in Holland. Owner is looking for 9,250 euro's.
It's a 1968 Marcos, with a 1600 Lotus Cortina engine and 2 twin dellorto's. Car has had a few bits done over the years, brakes front completely renewed, but still needs a few odd jobs done. New front windscreen rubber, filler cap, door locks, new ceiling cloth. Otherwise still in excellent condtion, according to the seller :)

if its a Lotus cortina engine capacity as standard would be 1558cc as its based on the precrossflow engine......may have been bored out, i think you can go to about 1650cc.I mention this for completeness sake as i wouldnt want anyone to be confused by the two mentions of Ford 1600 engines in this thread.....pedantic aint I!
