I saw some sort of jazz orchestra in Chicago last summer and they were amazing! They kinda reminded me of Buddy Rich and his big band a little, but they were a bit more modern and better too. I've been tryin to find the something similar ever since with no joy.
I was wonderin could anyone help me out? I'd really appreciate it.

There's a Guy Barker track called Underdogs? It's a great song you should def check it out. I'm not sure exactly what type you're looking for though. Is it swing or classical?

I'm not too sure what style (not that well up on my jazz). I know its kinda vague, but any suggestions are great, thanks.

Well if it's classically orchestrated jazz you're looking for then go for Miles David/ Gil Evans collaborations. They're only €10 each and an excellent starting point for Jazz newcomers:
    - Miles Ahead
    - Porgy and Bess
    - Sketches of Spain
are the most easily found and quite possibly best of Davis/ Evans.
