following in the footsteps of celebrity boxing theyre trying to negotiate this fight. rogan (the ufc presenter and fear factor presenter) was a US TKD champion and now trains bjj, snipes is a black belt in tkd and needs to resurrect his acting career and this is a perfect opportunity to get back in the media.

hope this happens! rogan by quick submission.

Wesley Snipes is a seasoned, trained martial artist in a number of different disciplines including Karate, Kung Fu and Capoeira, an African/Brazilian martial art. Snipes never approached acting from an angle like “wow, maybe one day I'll be using martial arts on films”. And even while he was training at the State University of NY in Purchase, he didn't try to include martial arts in the acting side of his life. But he has been training in martial arts since he was twelve. And he has trained in a number of styles, under some really great teachers. A lot of them come from Harlem.
Snipes likes a lot of fighting styles, each one for a different reason. He loves all of the Chinese systems for line and beauty, and flexibility. And now all of this ancient Egyptian and Brazilian and Indonesian stuff that he is training in.
He also trains in some African-born systems which are very deadly, where you have to train like cats fighting - wild cats in the jungle - jumping out of bushes and that kind of stuff. It is just like living in the Bronx or Brooklyn! Snipes doesn't have time for any pretty stuff. He prefers fast – strong, effective combinations.:)

While Snipes has good stand up, he has no idea of the ground game, and therefore probably hasn't spent much time on his sprawl/anti clinch.

Rogan on the other hand is a purple belt under the machados (dlofnep correct me if I'm wrong) and has easy access to train with the top UFC fighters. I can only see Rogan losing by a lucky punch, otherwise it's gonna be a long night for Snipes.

John, any chance of fasttracking this match for "Christmas Brawl"? :D

I expect Chuck Norris to storm the ring roundhouse kicking the two of them....

W00p! I knew I saw that lad with some elite capoeira skillz.

P.S. That roundhouse is visible from space.

Why not really push the boat out on this one and square up Rogan, Snipes and Norris in a winner takes all...hell maybe even throw in Segal for good measure!! i agree too that Snipes is well "cross-trained" and i reckon his ground game is much better than people think...hes been training in Pencak Silat Walisongo under Steven Benitez and this stuff needs to be seen to believed, a complete fighting system ground/standing/multiple-attackers the lot!!

would love to see a match like that...and who knows maybe for ol times they'd bring back Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior :D

Snipes has developed a style of fighting that looks great on film, even though he looked a bit old in Blade 3, or so I thought. He's very smooth and elegant, with a kind of controlled animality.

I knew that he'd studied Brazilian stuff, I just didn't realise how much more he had done.

I'm just excited to see Joe Rogan fight, it being Wesley Snipes is just a surreal bonus.

I'll have to guess Snipes by Stake-Through-Heart, or just a huge knockout :D

Snipes is thickly built and fast, training in all sorts with years and travels with his own MA Instructor in tow. I've noticed Rogan becoming more muscled and vascular, check his neck while he's commentating, but still Snipes for the win!

Rogan was talking about it the other night on the ufc, seems snipes is opting out of this one, wise move i think, getting subbed quickly by Joe Rogan aint gonna do his career much good
