X360 and HD connectivity

    Hi all,

    HDTV connectivity seems to be a minefield, especially with the XBOX360. I've a Philips HD READY 26" LCD TV which I’d like to be able to run my X360 on (assuming I get one) in all those lovely HD res's. It has a DVI input & a cable with DVI male at one end and male component connectors at the other for HD connection (according to the manual). As far as I can glean from various online sources (including these boards) the X360 HD cable has a proprietary connector at the xbox end, and male component video connectors at the TV end. So basically I’ll have 2 lots of male connectors to plug together. Does anyone know if I can just get a female-female adaptor to hook them up or will that cause quality issues or sommat (I seem to remember video signals at high-ish res being very noise intolerant). If I can get an adapter, anyone got any ideas where I might get one in Dublin?
