iloveireland was given a tip by a trustworthy source
i am just placing this up for opinions it is not a tip.

he is not tipping it himself he is simply passing on something that was said to him and who can blame him (ref http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2054847353)

    Hopefully this helps.

if it's a tip from a 'trustworthy' source, have a go at it yourself! what do you need our opinions for? after all, it's a trustworthy source..

    1. to pass on information greatfully received
    2. to promote discussion, as this a web board after all
    3. the off chance that someone might learn something about the horse (good or bad)
    4. it might be fun

Back to the topic being brought up, at the price the horse is definitely an each way prospect.

Firstly the pluses, It is his first race in a handicap and based on his last race when he was beaten by 6 lengths by a horse rated 124 today's rating of 90 looks to be a bit on the leniant side. The ground should suit since he has plenty of decent places on good ground on the flat.

To my eyes the magor negative is the trip, he has never been beyond 2m1f before and judging by the fact he tired close home over a shorter distance last time he is by no means certain to last home. Also the trainer has never had a winner over hurdles in 76 attempts so that has to be worrying.

In conclusion if the gets the trip I could see him finishing in the first 3 or 4. But the trip is a big "IF".

Iloveireland, it would be helpful to go into more detail on what you have been told. If you've only been told that there's a tip for this horse end of story you should really ask more questions when it is being given to you. It would do no harm to offer your own opinion before asking for others.

all of this can be done without mentioning the word 'tip'..

and btw, "to promote discussion" .. lol, you genius!

Guy's this is a forum that tends to run itseld and tips and people's reaction to them seems to be the only contentious issue.

I think in this case Iloveireland is just asking for an opinion on a horse that someone tipped to him, maybe to see whether he should back it or not. MasterK gave his opinion and maybe he can decide to back or not to back on the strength of that, afterall, he did ask for an opinion.

The general consensus regarding tips are that we'd like to have something to back them up, whether they be form analysis or even something like my uncle's brother's cousin works for a trainer.....as time goes on you will get a reputation for delivering creditable tips but until that time we do ask that you provide as much information as possible.
