The southcourt is a good bit away from the city centre.

you could treat yourself and go for the Clarion,

also take a look at what is on ofer from the accomodation section of http://www.ireland.ie

You need to book the Clarion well in advance as it is very popular and in the last couple of months alot of the old city hotels such as Jury's, Ryan's and the Royal George which have all been demolished to make way for new better hotels.

Hotel rooms in or around the city centre are in short supply at the moment so make sure to book early.

There is also Jury's Inn just off the Dock Road next to the Shannon bridge.

Check out the Sarsfield Hotel also (overhead the Pier One bar) which overlooks the river next to Sarsfield bridge. This is more like in a two star hotel but I heard the rooms are decent enough and not too expensive.

There are also a good few of B&Bs heading out the Ennis Road past Sarsfield bridge but your heading out of the city centre at this stage.

Pery's Best Western on Glentworth Street maybe? Probably 3 star.

Aye. And there's a B&B just across from it IIRC. (I'll try to remember the name if necessary-but i doubt it's 3star+)

Well outside the south court there is a bus into the city every 10 mins ... and the stop is only across from the hotel, if your driving theres the Radisson SAS, Two Mile Inn, Greenhills, Castletroy Park Hotel!
Theres a few others but those are the most popular...
Inside the city there is the Clarion, which is one of the cities main landmarks ... but the Sarsfield Bridge looks really nice, and it would be alot quieter and also have great views (not as great, but great non the less)
