    Apart from the obvious:

    some German, though very rusty
a small bit of French (from school haven't used it in ages)
and slowly improving Irish (gf being a native speaker helps)

    fleunt Klingon also ;)

Well why does anyone care about where people have been or what famous people theyve met?

I care. If you don't care then don't read the thread, simple.

My languages are English and Bad English. I know some French and some Irish. If computer languages count then I know some Haskell, some C and some html.

Hahaha....that strikes me as rather witty for some reason.

I speak english obviously, apart from that, mediocre Irish and Spanish....

English, a little bit of Irish, I can read some French but I can't remember how to speak it, and I'm studying Spanish in college.

English and enough of pretty much every other language there is for me to get by when visiting any country.

    beer
    bier
    bière
    birra
    etc...

Might struggle a bit in Spain and Portugal where they spell it with a 'C', but I reckon they'd figure out what I meant.

English and some bad German. Once you speak English it's not particularly important to learn another language. I have lived in Cologne for 6 weeks and have used my German about 3 times.

Okay Irish (Need a bit of a refresher tbh)
    Below average french

I know bits of Mandarin as well.

TBH, a better thread would have been, "How many languages can you order a beer in?" Now that would have been good.

English, some Irish, less French, and even less German.

I'd like to be able to speak German properly, but I just don't make enough effort.

English and a bit of crappy school-standard french. No Irish.. what a waste of 14 years in school that was.

  • - Fluent English and Spanish (bilingual)
    - Fairly fluent French (been studying it for 10 years, worked there all summer)
    - German used to be alright (got an A at A Level) but I've forgotten everything.
    - Just started Japanese class, I can say stuff like 'what's your name?'. Hopefully will improve sometime.
    - I understand spoken and written Italian and Portuguese and speak a bit, but I don't think it really counts.

Never learned Irish as I went to school mainly in the UK/North. I'd love to know some but it's desperately hard to learn by yourself.
