    Hi,

Managed to pick up, what I think is a bargain on the Dell Factory Outlet on Ebay.ie. Great reductions, and as delivery is only to Ireland, the auctions are very quite. The one small criticism is that they do not have individual photos of the damage to each unit.

    I got the following kit,

    Base: Inspiron 9300 Pentium M 740 1.73 GHz, 2 MB L2
Floppy Drive: D Series No Floppy Drive
    Hard Disk Drive: 60GB 7200rpm ATA/100 HDD
    MISC: D-Series 90W AC adapter
MISC: Inspiron Internal Keyboard No pointer UK
    MISC: NO SNAP COVER OPTION
    Memory: 768MB 533MHz DDR2 SDRAM (1x256MB + 1x512MB)
    Misc: 9 cell Li-Ion 80WHr primary battery
Modem: Internal V.92 Modem Adapter IRL,SPN
Network Card: Intel Pro WLAN 2200 802.11b Mbp EUR
    NoteBook Screen: i9300 17.0 WXGA+ (1440 x 900) LCD
Software: Microsoft Works 7.0 - UK
Software: English - Adobe Reader 6.0
Video: 256MB NVIDIA Geforce Go 6800
    DVD/RW: 8X DVD / 24X CD-RW Combo Drive with Software
Operating System: English - Win XP SP2 Home

I also got 512MB of extra RAM, a 3 year onsite next day parts and labour warrenty, and a deluxe carry case, plus delivery for €1400. Reckon I saved myself around €600, and a few scratches does not bother me.

Their is a couple of laptops auctions ending today.

    The site is http://stores.ebay.ie/Dell-Outlet

This type of post is probably more suited to Bargain Alerts, but thanks..
Although, what would this have cost if you were to purchase it new from Dell? (I had a quick look at their site - I cannot do a direct comparison as they only offer more RAM,HDD space and a faster CPU.. )
