Play but can't Sing?

Can you play acoustic Guitar or Piano, but can't sing or don't have the confidence? I'm a singer/song writer that has never had the time to learn an Instrument, Terrible Excuse I KNOW! I'm Currently trying to learn bass...... but I spend allot of time writing....well what seem like songs in my head, without the proper musical structure. I'm looking to form an casual 2-3 piece band, nothing too full on, would probably suit professional worker, as I work myself. Maybe do 3 evenings a week or weekends If suits, just collaborating songs in some form or another. I come from a very musical family background..... and well, After moving to Dublin 4 months ago I've decided to do sometime Interesting.

My Influences would range from.... Hard to Soft Listening...... Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake, Josh Ritter, Elliot Smith, Jack Johnson, Jim Morrison, Ruffus Wainwright, David Grey.... and many many more. The Hard side of things I'd have a love for Nirvana, Pixies, Eagles Of Death Metal, Arcade Fire, Greenday, S.O.A.D, G'n R, Graham Coxon, Elbow..... I listen to allot of music to vary my Influences across the board.
