The DVB 7-day EPG

    Is there some real tehnical reason that not -one single channel- on Astra 2 uses the DVB 7-day EPG? Or do Sky impose not using it as a part of the rules for having an LCN?

    Its majorly annoying - at least half the German channels that have EPG info carry 7 days. Sky seem to lock in to their toy box, yet again though.

    There is no technical reason. It could be carried as well as the Sky EPG. Perhaps when ITV/BBC start their platform we might get it.

    It is a similar issue to Teletext. It is a tiny extra cost including the the extra work to do Teletext. But the Digital Interactive text is being promoted which has little extra value. Since up till now the majory use Digibox there has been no incentive to carry the standard 7 day EP.

    I have no idea what conditions Sky set.
