As the title says, I want to add "My Documents" to the left-hand column in the "Save As" box. A while back, someone deleted the "My Documents" folder from the desktop, and since then, it hasn't been in the "Save As" box. I've tried putting a shortcut back on the desktop, but with no luck :( Any help would be nice.

Have you tried Tweakui ? I know that lets you set desktop icons.
As for the save as box some programs won't let you change the side icons and is designed in a certain way.
The older versions I think don't have it while the new ones do.
At least that's what I think.
When I made a quickie VB program when using save or open it never had my documents in the left corner.

Hope this is of some help.

Like Ste- said, Tweak UI will do it for you.

Tweak UI > Common Dialogs > Places Bar

Some apps like MS Office won't change however.

MS Office kept the "My Documents" option, it was just the "Save As" box that didn't have it.
