Beams of light sweeping the sky

Was waiting at the bustop in Stillorgan half an hour ago and noticed two beams of light sweeping the sky. They're pretty faint; anybody know what they are? I'm in Foxrock now and still see them so I assume they're between Stillorgan and here but couldn't see where they were coming from on the bus.

    Any takers?

Hwen you can see the leonids or any other annual meteor shower in Dublin, there's either a blackout, or someone's been at the magic mushrooms again...

mmmm....no. I think i can spot the difference between a searchlight beam and a meteor shower.

That depends on the lenght of the thread....I'd have said fitting that many on the first page was quite a feat though...

Its near Stillorgan.. Very exclusive. They are going to have a porter that you can ring to order you pizza. Will take your shopping from the car for you, etc...

    Very posh

    very posh

In a very Posh'n'Becks sense of the word posh, as in 'not remotely', but with shedloads of money and no taste whatsoever.

Having said that, I'm all over that puppy. Reception? Order me a 16" deluxe and be snappy about it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,466 ✭✭✭Blisterman

Wouldn't it be just as easy to order the pizza yourself, rather than call up the guy and tell him what to order for you?

This way you get to cirumvent the annoying language barriers that inevitably present themselves when ordering takeaways these days.

Me: "Can I have a 16" special with extra cheese and pepperoni?"

Them "12" pizza no pepperoni. OK, what you address?"

    etc etc etc

Yes but some people cant do anything for themselves and expect others to do it for them. Anyone suggest name for these type of people?

If they were really rich they'd have a pizza chef in the apartments, slaving away.
