I have split / removed the content of this thread.

There were some details posted about boards.ie that were factually incorrect (boards.ie is not owned by H365), and in the last post (before it was removed) there were many more facts posted, some of which were incorrect (Spin was not taken over by H365) and some of which may have been correct but I am unable and unwilling to verify.

However, to avoid possible defamation of the parties involved, I think it is best that this thread be closed.

Also, since I have not been personally involved in any of the companies named (apart from boards.ie Ltd.!), I believe that I am in a suitably neutral position to put an end to this discussion.

Sorry to those who have posted and felt that their contributions have been removed. The archivist in me hurts!

This thread has been taken away for examination by the admins. There are a number of things being done and said on it that I am FAR from happy about, considering I have already warned the entire Hosting industry to go somewhere else. You and your industry cat fights (all of you, I'm not taking sides) are NOT to return to this site.

I'd like to clear up something. Spin was not bought by Hosting 365. At no single point in time did one person own shares in both H365 and Spin. Tony does not own shares in Boards and has no commercial connection with it. Nor was he a director of Spin.


We have hosted with H365 for years without major incident but the relationship is between me and Steve McCarron. Regi's involvement is (by his own insistence) at arms length and restricted to the technical side of things as far as H365 goes. Steve and I negotiated the deal and Steve will tell you that there is not one moment of slack given because of Dan's position with them, if anything I'm probably a nightmare customer because I have the technical knowledge to cut through any smokescreening and no reticence of sticking a size 10 in anyones ass.
I'm happy with the service we get. Its good. I don't know if its better or worse then anyone elses. I don't care either.

I am extremely annoyed with the implication that Boards favours anyone, hosting company, ISP or fecking fitness club, over another because of a commercial relationship.
We don't, we won't and we haven't. At the suggestion that we do so, I would vote to pull the servers from H365 and leave without a seconds thought. Such a suggestion has never been made implictly or explicitly.

Let me make this clear. The ENTIRE hosting industry is NOT WELCOME on Boards. Go Away. Individuals may come here but I do not want to see this kind of thing on my site again.

I'm being restrained here by the other admins but I'm sure the tone of my prose makes my feelings clear.
