    Hey guys just wondering what this card is like? will it play the likes of doom3 on high and BF2???

    My 6600GT ran doom3 very nicely... although I only tried the BF2 demo, which ran like shít (the smelly kind) on high settings... although this could have been due to my only having 512 RAM and an amd64 3000 :/

    It will handle BF2 just fine as long as you have a decent amount of memory. At least 1gig but 2 would not hurt :).

    BF2 is a total ram-whore. I have a gig and its hungry for more :/

    Also, you're probably better off with a 256MB 6600 GT than a 512MB vanilla 6600.

    got this for 120 euro on ebay , but havent tried it out yet as kompleet havent shipped my new mobo yet. i got the pci express verison.

    The amount of memory on a card generally isnt as important as the chip - go for a 256mb GT over a normal 512mb 6600 :)
