    First of all thanks for the help last time guys but i have one small problem.

    Iresetted the CMOS and fixed an SATA driver problem that was causing windowsXP not to boot.


    But... the only thing is my IDE hard drive is now not being detected.
    Not only that but if an IDE drive is in with the SATA then neither drive is detected.

    PC1 has this problem and so does PC2 identical apart from motherboard.

    Now to complicate matters i accidently bent two pins trying to insert the hard drive for a test so...

    (A) can data br retreived from the hard drive after pins are damaged.
    (B) what could be causing the failure to detect the IDE hard drives.
