lidl receiver software update

    Hi, . I got a lidl SL55 receiver about a year ago and have it pointing at astra 2, and the updates are on astra 1 i believe. I can adjust the dish easily enough to astra 1 for an update but i don't know if there's any point in doing this. So can anyone tell me is it good practice to do a software update from time to time. Thanks

    I've tried to download any updates from Astra 1 from time to time (only yesterday was the latest!), but there's been nothing so far- I have the box almost a year.

    Unless something is broken don't worry.
    One Palcom DSL4 update (similar box to comag) allowed re-organising favorite list ordering and one fix a minor bug that was not annoying most people.
