My cousin played it in game stop. He said it was complete ****, but the only reason I remember him giving is that the graphics are awful. All the names are wrong too. It's not like it hasn't been long enough in production to have had a decent in enough job done on it. I'd say this was originally planned for the PS1 :P

It was originally planned for the PS1, the reason for the dealy has not been technology but as usual, a disagreement between the GPA, and the GAA. That is also the reason that no players names appear in the game- they are copyrighted by the GPA.

Its a shame really, because there is a huge market for a good quality game, but in comparison to FIFA or any other top quality soocer game, this fails miserably.

my friend rented it from my shop on saturday and called down about five hours later to tell me how **** it was,siad it wa one of the worst games he has ever player,that said he did say it had its novelties.

my dear god its so bad i just bought it a few hours ago, €49.49 in HMV Grafton Street (student discount) its unbelivably bad, i wish i rented it first. i'll break it down for you all

Cut Scene Graphics: 4/10. its the same as the gameplay no special difference to it, just your not in control.

Gameplay Graphics: 4/10. blocky, lacks fulid motion

Gamplay: 3/10. very very poor, passing is silly, tackling is damn near impossible, shooting is slow and delayed, comp seems to get that tackle in just in time, new york gave me a revaging in the 1st half romping a goal in, no celebration really, controls are hard to use as every button comes into play and you send more time thinking what to press. comps ai is like the 70's-80's kerry team on min and london the next. too easy to be injured too

background 9/10: the pitches and stadia are amazing, as good as any fifa game honestly very well represented

commentry/SFX: 6/10 gets repetitive quickly seeing as i'm just playing the last hour and i'm sick of it already "half time bananna" nonsence, it lacks emotion too, very matter of fact

realism: 4/10. dreast and jerseys look great, the total lack of player names is dier, seen as i got the game in part to pick up the names of the minor counties players. players ae represented as P.1, P.2 etc. very disapointing. i also simulated a few games i whooped kerry by 5 points then was trashed by carlow by 7 points (i was the dubs)

Tactics and interactitivity: 4/10 you can't tweek the formations at all, i wanted to play a wider role up front no chance. when subbing you new sub's pos isn't given so in effect you might have a GK playing LCF, the fact you can put you face in the game with the eyecam is nice, i don't have an eyecam so redundant for me.

all in all very disapointing don't buy it rent it, fun with a load of mates but not as a single player, could be great in college where there are a few people from different counties and you could have a rivialry, all in all 4/10 for the game the stadium attention and the fact its our game are the only redeeming features

Agree with you on novelty factor... had a good laugh with a mate from diff county playing it, even though we knew it played so poor.
Perhaps consumption of alcohol can make the game seem better...

after a day of playing:

so now i've been playing it a day i've gotten used to the controls etc, the ai can still vairy from great to poor, the comentry is best turned off as you WILL HATE mick him and his grayhound/banana/ great kicks that go miles wide

the fact that the keeper is 95% comp controled is really annoying he will make mistakes during a match like passing to opposition, my keeper was beaten from 40meters by a miss catch ground kick pass

now glitches:
if you step into the goal with the ball the game registers as a kick out no goal (not 100% sure if this is a glitch or the correct rule)

depending on your camera angle, players will continue to run in the incorrect direction

occasionaly when your taking a free from a shooting area the free kick arrow will not appear, even though mick will be telling you he must score from here etc.

the camera will get caught up in front of the ball if a shot/punt is charged down

once a player "turns" you you can't touch him for awhile, he becomes intangable.

the game has grown on me, i like it for a half hour or so then i want to do something else

I agree with the other people here and wont even go into detail about it but remember kids ALWAYS rent first!or buy it when it goes into the bargin bin next week.

ok so this is my final say on the game: I BROUGHT IT BACK!!!
i exchanged it for some cd's, if they wouldn't have taken it i would have traded it in it really is that bad, i'm sorry for being so negititive i REALLY wanted it to be good i really did, but it blew chunks

ok so i got this, and have played it with my mates and we all thinks its pants but have such fun playing it, i have been dying for a gaa game and though this isnt great it will do.

the controls are muck and being a pes fan doesnt help, its all about tapping the buttons, ie. when tackling keep hitting triangle rather than holding it, also a double tap on x will auto kick it to the nearest player, its great with a few beers and the commentary is great but lacks: "i played with his father in 1972, a great player.... etc"

overall i think its a keeper!

I never had and never will have any interest in GAA... but I have seen the game running and the graphics looked like a PSone effort. If the graphics are soo bad when they really shouldn't be then I can only imagine what the game play is like...

terrible game, mainly because it was taken upby a nobody game company. Hopefully someone like EA will realise the potential market and snap it up and make it a proper game.

But it is utteribly terrible do not buy, where i work we got in id say roughly bout 100+ copies sold them all then got in another 100 and didnt sell one, initial rush, everyone heard bout it, ****.

ok! i'm not going to say that its the greatest game in the world but it has it has some plus sides!!
at least we have a gaa game! and its only the first one, more will follow!! do you remember Italia '90, that was crap but look at soccer games now!
if you chang the camera view from the side view to a behind the player cam its actually ok
the game is slow but that can be used to your advantage by timing hand passes you can fly up the pitch.

but maybe i'm bias because i am the unbeaten champ!! I actually don't think it's possible for me to lose in this fantastic game!!
