Healing query?

I recently got my labret pierced (a ring, to the left of my lip for those who want to know), and the healing process seems to be going pretty well except for one issue which i'm unsure about. On the inside of my lip around the pierced skin is a build up of kinda off white-ish stuff. at first i thought it was skin healing but i'm not sure thats it any more. it seems to come and go, ranging from quite a lot to basically none, but its been there since about 3 days post piercing, which was last sunday. anybody got an inkling as to what this is? thanks in advance!

Could just be lymph fluid coming through hard to say with out seeing it but probably is, tis completely normal just keep looking afer the piercing and should clear up by itself

Sorry i should have been more descriptive of it. Which is difficult... its like loose skin, its soft to touch but i pulled a bit off it the other day and i tried squeezing it between my thumb and forefinger but it wouldnt, em... smush, for lack of a better word! its like trying to squeeze a small pebble! which leads me to believe its not lymph, which i have had small amounts of on the exterior, which is simply dry and crusty.... any other opinions? my gf had her labret done a while back and didnt experience this...

I sugest going back to your piercer and having them take a look.

Well, when I got my vertical labret done, the top entrance(which would of been my actual lip/gum) got a little white....it wasn't sore or anything...just a little white, i imagine thats the same as what you have.Mine wasn't sore though, don't know about yours.
But I wasnt too worried about it, it cleared up pretty quick, as the piercing was healing.so i wouldn't worry too much about it.
But if you're concerned go to you're piercer.

I know this is probably a bit late but I just got my tongue pierced and I got the exact same thing. I wiped it away with a cotton bud. My tongue isn't infected or anything and the swelling is completely gone so I can only presume this is normal? It really freaked me out at first!

i also have similiar stuff on my septum from time to time (four weeks old on saturday:D )the way i see it is if it doesnt hurt and smells okay, its better out than in, just keep cleaning it.

I have the exact same piercing and the same thing happened to me, just clean it of every now and again and once the piercing is completely healed it stops happening. If it becomes sore or yellowish I'd advise seeing your piercer about it, and if you're still worried go along anyhow, at worst they'll just say the exact same thing and put your mind at rest. I've no idea what it is but it caused no problems for me, and mine is perfect now, never had any bother with it.

hey, im new here and kinda need some advice.

i have a few piercings, few tattoos, but am hopeing to get my clit pierced in the not too distant future. i was wonderin if anyone could recommend a good piercer in dublin to do it for me. someone who wont laugh at my silly questions preferably! (yes, i have had the pleasure of that here in lovely waterford) and they dont do genital piercings here, so when i asked for advice on whether i should get my clit pierced or clit hood done i got met with "how wud i know?"

so any advice wud be appreciated!

    cheers people:D
