NTSA Training Weekend November 12th & 13th 2005

The NTSA will be running a coaching weekend 12th to 13th November 2005.

National Coach Mr Barry Dagger will be in attendance both days.

Programme Schedule:

* Saturday 12th November 2005, 10am to 5pm Rathdrum Rifle Club range. 25yrd .22 cal rifle.

* Sunday 25th July. 10am to 3pm UCD range (10m Air rifle)

* Yes at the same time as the UCD Open match!


This training programme is open to anyone who has an interest in representing Ireland Internationally.

And again in Air Pistol, in a small informal DURC match to test the waters with the new UCD air pistols. Note the perspex stalls set up for safety with the air pistols - necessary when training new junior shooters.

Out of curiosity, why is it called an Air Weapon Open? I thought that was a bad word in our sport?

Well, I think it is. I did mention it on the NTSA website in their comments section, there followed a brief discussion where the NTSA PRO assured us all that in his experience as an international competitor, in Hungary and other Eastern European countries, it's often called an Air Weapon Open. Personally, I remain unconvinced, but I'm not running their end of it anymore!
