If one were interested in pursuing a career as a business analyst/project manager what would be a good post graduate course to take.

I have a B.Sc Information Systems Development (Hons) and would be interested in pursuing a career in this area. Is there any other qualifications that are widely recognised?

Wouldn't think one would matter. Just a matter of applying for a job. I'm doing software engineering and essentially landed a PM type role.

I did an IT degree and became a business analyst just by getting into a company and pursuing that role. It might be a better way of doing it than getting any other qualification.

there is also a methodolgy called PRINCE2

    http://www.prince2.com/

it is a newish project management methodology and seems to be really good.

there are training courses that you can do AFAIK.

That PRINCE2 course looks good. My contract is about to be renewed as a QA Analyst. The told me when I started that there would be scope for me to move into a BA role.

I want to ask them to send me on some training to see if they are actually committed to their promise.

www.cti.ie seem to do both PRINCE2 courses. Suppose you could do the two in a row and get the complete deal.
