Those goals are a joke dave , I saw them when they came out too and thought maybe a bit of structure would be a good thing, but since then looking at the way that EOS and the IRFU contract players (and in fact manage our own) has left me with the uncomfortable thought that basically the rudder has fallen off the ship and the crew are all drunk.
Ireland will not improve unless more resources are utilised to allow player development.
The ERC will remain a lofty goal as long as the PAG have any (under) hand in allowing foreign born talent to play for the provinces.
As long as politics and vested interests keep players like T.Brennan and D. Wallace out of the teams than no progess will be made.
The silence of EOS and the IRFU about Brennan's non selection for the national team has been deafening.
The whole affair stinks and I am sick of the whole thing.
I support NZ from now on.

Basically I think the IRFU are racist.
They shafted Gatland for EOS because he is Irish, and "that would look better, an Irish coach for the Irish Team"
This was proved folly with Gatlands successes with Wasps.

They (PAG) wouldn't allow Munster to sign any good talent from the SH because it would impact on homegrown talent.
They wouldn't allow Brennan to play because a) he was a milkman or b) he speaks with the wrong kind of Dublin accent, They also have turned their backs on MOD because he played in France as has Brennan.
Irish Rugby will continue to decline until the Blazers in Dublin are shown the door.

sooner they're shown the door, the better. then there might be some chance of us getting 6N tix! (even if we do just go to watch them lose....!)

Anyone else think ritchie mccaw was just taking the piss with his interview last night? saying that ireland didn't make it easy for them? think i must have been watching a different game!
