    I especially like the last 2 lines. If you don't mind sharing, what inspired you to write the poem? I've read it over several times and tried to imagine a situation where this could have been inspired from... so I'm just kind of curious...

    A friend, very depressed, tried suicide. In fact three or four in one night!

    Thanks, it's not great but it means something to me.

    oh and the fact that even though, the friend says they're okay now I just don't know at times....

    I think it's a lovely, thoughtful poem and I'm sure your friend appreciates your support for them during their hard times.
