Whats with Irelands crest?

Watching the England-Argentina game just now and something dawned on me which is that both teams have had the same crest/badge/whatever you want to call it for more than 40 years now. They're not unique either. Watch archive footage and you'll see that many other countries/clubs have had the same crest for as just as long.

Now compare this to Ireland who have had FOUR different crest designs in less than 20 years. Whats up with that?

Anyway, the main point of this thread is to ask "can you think of any other clubs or countries that can lay claim to having changed their crest as often as us (or nearly as often)?"

Slightly off topic, there's a column in FourFourTwo every month outlining the history behind the crest of a club, interesting stuff

It's not just a crest... it's the logo for the nations footie association.
    Blame the FAI..... again.
