    Ticketmaster says...

Tickets are currently not available online. Check back soon.

Well, the Irish Ticketmaster system is linked into the UK one, so that doesn't nessessarily mean that a gig in Ireland is on the cards.

    It's very likely though.

Is this just a rumour or is there a good chance that PJ are going to play in Ireland.

I've always loved them, but never got a chance to go to any of their gigs.

Well fingers crossed. It's the same for System Of A Down.

If it is in unison with the UK ticketshafeter then it really is an even more so shoddy service that thought at first.

    Tell it like it is!

That means nothing, if you search for any bad not touring the UK at the moment, it says the same thing: ACDC, Beck and so on. Just cos it says to check back, doesnt mean they will be anytime soon.

When you click on a band and it says that tickets are not available and to check back soon, it gives you the option underneath of asking them to e-mail you when tickets for the band go on sale. That could be useful.

As for Pearl Jam playing here, as far as I know one of the reasons they are reluctant to come to Europe is because of Ticketmaster and its monopoly of live concerts. But for them to tour Europe without employing Ticketmaster would be very hard.

While I'd admire the band for sticking to their principles (if this is the case), I really want to see them. Then I can die happy :)

Anyway, we should probably keep an eye on the PJ sites and the Rumour Pit or whatever in case they do decide to come to Europe and boycott Ticketmaster in the process. That'd be great.

Since the US Ticketmaster case PJ have toured here twice, in 1996 supporting No Code and in 2000 dupporting Binaural. Both times they've used Ticektmaster (at least in Ireland and the UK)

They tend to tour the US for every album, and alternate between Europe and Japan/Australia every second album. That said, they've just finished Canadian tour and are about to embark on their first South American tour, so God knows what will happen.

My guess would be that they'll play after the release of the new album, which *hopefully* will be early in the new year.
