9 handed game, apologies that I don't have all the details copied exactly but here's what happened.

    Hero(SB) has ˆ125.
    Villian(1 off button) has ˆ85.

    Cards dealt: (9d,9h)

    SB bets ˆ1
    BB bets ˆ2
Everyone folds to Villian who makes it ˆ5
    SB calls
    BB Folds
    Flop: (Ad Kc 3s)
    Hero checks
    Villian checks
    Turn: (9c)
    Hero bets ˆ10
Villian calls ˆ10 and raises ˆ25

    ????????????

    whats you movve and why?

It's hard to respond without any reads at all, I'm assuming this is a .50/1 game, and the villian is about average standard.

I'd say you just simply re-raise him all-in here, he only has 45 left after this re-raise, he probably has AK or a similar A, I can't see him trying to chase off a customer with trip A's or K's so just throw it in, if he has KK or AA, so be it..

At 50 1 many players would check in his position with any ace

If you don't reraise any club or picture card on the river could kill your action. If he has AA/KK so be it but you can't fold a set at this level.

Why is everyone assuming its .50 1. Surely its 1/2?

well the eheck raise really made me feel that if he had an ace then he at least had a king to go with it.

Anyway, I pushed as you do and he turned over aces.

Basically I posted wondering do people ever get away from having lower trips with no 5 card hand possible?

on a side note, things made a rather feeble attempt to balance themselves out earlier when i found myself with pocket queens facing pocket threes on a flop of Q3x. We both got all in(how could he fold) and the turn was the  single three

Well its a tough one, when he checks the flop theres only really 3 hands he should be slowplaying, AAA KKK or AK. But at 50 1 sometimes they will treat a7 as the nuts.

After the fact its easy to say check calling would be better than betting into him, as he it makes the most from his non ace hands (like QQQ) and loses the least from an over set. Ive never folded a set online fearing another set though, I think its just a situation in which you should be happy(ish) to lose your stack.
