    Hi there,

    My name is Jonathan Casey; I'm a composer/musician/arranger based in Dublin. I have a lot of experience, working in almost every area of music you could name, from orchestral composition to singing, playing guitar & piano in rock bands.

    I would like to offer my composing/recording music services free of charge to those of you who are working on projects and looking for original music. As I have seen the topic of using music and copyright issues mentioned a few times here, perhaps this arrangement would really suit some of you.

    I offer my services free for the time being, just because I want to work on projects, establish contacts and assemble a list of credits.

    In terms of relevant experience, I have attended a number of UCLA-recognised Screen Training Ireland Film/TV Scoring courses and composed & orchestrated ensemble pieces to picture as part of these courses. I have a Masters In Film Studies from UCD, where I wrote and directed a short film (and discovered I sucked at directing!). I also wrote music for two other shorts during the degree (and to further nail my flag to the post, my thesis was on 'Modernist Music in Hollywood'). I have also written and arranged compositions to given specifications for two musicals.

    What I have not done is worked with new people on their films and this is what I want to do.

    The following samples of my writing and arrangement show a few contrasting styles:
