    Hi all.

Over the last few days the signal on Ch. 66 for TV3 from Maghera has been getting worse and worse - does anyone know if this transmitter is on reduced power or something? Thanks

The Transmitter Info page on Aertel was busy this past few weeks, but I dont recall anything about Maghera.

Might be worth ringing RTENL on 1850 584 584.

And Michael is there any difference in TG4 from Maghera thats on 68.

Am I correct in saying your receiving RTE1, 2, TG4 from a local relay and (since that has no TV3) using another aerial for a weaker TV3 from Maghera. Maybe your Maghera aerial is after getting damaged by the recent bad weather or rain has got into coax etc ????

TG4 is poor quality too on 68. Yes I do get RTE and TG4 from my local relays in Listowel These are still being received perfectly. I'm starting to think it is my aerial/Co-ax as nobody else seems to have this problem as I can find out. I installed the present terrestrial set-up in June 2000 and this is my first problem, which isin't bad I suppose.

Another possibility is that a building has been built nearby in the path of the Maghera signal :D

Have you tried receiving TV3 from Mullaghanish instead? - Ch 27 Horizontal (Group A aerial).

No problem with TV3 here, just the usual. You probably know who this is. ;)

Have seen a marked picture improvement today, maybe it's something to do with High & Low pressure systems.
