I'm sure this has been asked a million times on here but seeing as we have no search function...

I'm going to get an amp off thomann soon and i just want to know, how long do they take to deliver here?

A question asked at the right time. Feylya will be along shortly to tell you a tale of woe.

In my own experience, their communication is dreadful and shipping times can be anything from two to four weeks.

I ordered a keyboard off them and the delivery time was around 12-14 days I think but that was only because it was sitting in some courier's warehouse in Dublin for a few days before myself and the courier were able to agree on a delivery date.

Secret amp #887. Customer service sucks. Usual "please wait 120 days, please contact your sorting office" bull****. Two packages were sent with that order. I got one a week after it was shipped, the other package is awol and Thomann are doing sweet **** all. If I hear nothing by Monday, I'm going to go ****ing mental.

Since I've ordered it, I've gotten a job, started studying for various certs and have made plans to move. Completely changed everything basically and yet in that time, Thomann can't deliver an amplifier to a house where they've delivered numerous times before? And it's not An Post's fault. DHL seem to be dealing with them.

Got an acoustic guitar, digital recorder, crybaby, and a few other things off them over the last few years, no bother, had most of them within about ten days.

FWIW I have ordered a few things on the internet recently and my impression is that the most difficult, unpredictable part of getting things delivered is in the last few miles from the couriers warehouse to your house. Its very variable and seems to depend on if the regular guy is off sick, overworked, badly hungover etc. Just my opinion.

I just received my Gallien-Kreuger rig the other day (Backline 600 head, BLX210 and BLX115 cabs) and i ordered it last sunday week (30th oct) when it wasnt in stock just yet, but they sent me a text the following thursday saying that it has been shipped. I emailed them asking who was delivering, and they said a company called DFDS was doing it.

So, tuesday morning i decided to email DFDS, and 2 emails later, they informed me that the truck with my order was on its way to limerick (where im living now), so i got the truck drivers number, and he said he was gonna be at my house in 10 minutes! Luckily enough, i work in UL, approx 10 mins from my house, so a feckin artic truck pulled up outside my house, which is in an empty beercan and stolen traffic cone infested estate and there i had it. And yes, the truck driver was pissed off, but didnt make it an unpleasant experience. I had an earthshaking amp setup so i didnt care.

Overall, i was pleased with thomann. And the fact that shipping the amp cost me €15 probably meant that they made a loss!

Thomann are the worst company I've ever dealt with. They were good when they first started trading in Ireland but these days they suck balls.

    Avoid.

personally, everything i've ordered i've pretty much had in my hands exactly 1 week later.

    How about no? :v:

Got a call from someone in Kildare saying they had a package for me from Thomann and they'd deliver it on Monday morning. Of course, I'm working late on Monday so I won't get to play with it til next Friday :(
