Hi, cant figure out this game, whats the story with it?? how do u play?

Hi, my name in UnrealQueen and im addicted to Sudoku! I just bought a book with over 1000 sudoku puzzles and i can't put it down!! I was doing one at the weekend from the paper. I was doing the easy one and my 12 year old niece was doing the hard one. She was finished hers way before me.:(

the wikipedia article might explain it well enough...I figured out the conventions meself, but find explaining 'em well night impossible. If wiki is no good, pick up a cheapo book in easons, read the first few pages, and away you go...

It's not hard to explain. Bog standard. Grid nine by nine -> 81 squares. Also sub grids three by three - and there's nine of those.

In each row accross and each column down, the numbers 1 thru nine can appear once and once only. In each three by three sub grid, the numbers one thru nine can only appear once.

Sudoko is good because you don't really have to think, you just kinda do it. (Very good while in lectures). Whereas Kakuro there's a bit of thought involved and I find it easier to get wrong.

Go to www.yahoo.co.uk then click on games and then click on soduku. Its a different game every day.

Soph, the above gives you instructions on how to play and if you get really stuck you can view the solution, it helps when your starting off, y'know to give you an idea of what the hells goin on!
