[rant]I fcuking hate those signs that are put up on any sh!tty little project. Even on big projects, who do they think they are? The "Government of Ireland" didn't fund the project, they just directed OUR taxes at it, so WE funded the project![/rant]

Yeah, I know. I did use 'rant' tags :D

They just get on my wick, as if the government is some benevolent old relative who's gifting this road or that sewer to us mere mortals who should be doffing our caps and saying "thank you sirs"!

The Ongar Distributor Road isn't even finished and they have those signs up. They actually
had them up before any other street furniture (excluding lamp standards)! I can totally accept the ones where Fritz or Pierre have coughed up for something and we 'need' to be told it was part EU funded but when we paid for it ourselves there should be no such sign.

Ok, I've calmed down now :v:

Incidentally, the Ongar Distributor will not be signal controlled at it's roundabout junction with Blanchardstown Rd South (as previously thought), it will have pelican crossings however. Should be open within a couple of weeks IMO. They could easily open the main stretch within a week and the Hartstown link road whenever that's ready (pretty soon).

    :D Ha Ha Ha.
They could slam a few up in some of our rathole primary schools and overcrowded hospitals to cheer the inmates up.

This rat-spoor was "funded by the Government of Ireland".

This trolley was "funded by the Government of Ireland".
