Well, I'm being dragged to New York in January. Anyone have an idea of any gigs going on there during that month or even what bars would be most likely to have decent live bands??

Pollstar is very good, but sometimes concerts slip through their radar, so check out Time Out NY or the Village Voice when you arrive.
