Anyone else see Billy Idol last night in the Point? Only decided on going yesterday afternoon - what a great decision, he funking ruled! I am still a little bit deaf this morning. So much rock, rock overload. This man does not look 50 (or whatever he is), ripped with a six-pack, obviously the rocker lifestyle works for Billy. Best 'big' gig of the year for me, better than U2, Maiden, Pixies or even Snoop.

I am going to two gigs and both are not even in the country, so I have to save money towards the bleedin' flights and hotels and all, so I couldn't go to see Billy Idol.

And I just thought he would be as good as you say he was :(

I would appreciate if you would send me a report about this gig and I put it up on my page www.concert-reviews.net

Thought this was great fun. Idol put on a great 2+ hour show but the atmosphere in the crowd felt quite weak, no madness really. Crowd consisted mainly of people 40+ in fairness.

Didn't think he could substantially fill The Point but 3,000 people showed up in the end, including his ma from Cork. Suited the arena stage very well, thankfully.

While not concrete or anything he did mention he's going to be back here for the next album, if that's any consolation.

Could be another 15 years though!
