I just looked at this thread over on PI

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2054846030

This is the first I have ever heared of rules for dating foreign Chicks. Now I've gone out with a couple of american, spanish Italian and Irish birds and never found the 3 date rule mentoned in the thread to be the case. Has anyone ever found any culteral difference in dating girls from other countries. Should I trat a Italian girl differently then say a Spanish. Or A american one differenly to a french girl.

I used go out with a Canadian and you can't just say that girls from 1 country should be treated 1 way and girls from another country a different way. In all walks of life different people are to be approached in different ways.

I'm from Rio but have lived here for years. I never mention it when I first meet a guy because of previous experiences. Firstly the little comments - I've had one guy claim he heard it was tradition that our 3rd date had to be a bikini date, another hinting he heard Brazilian girls love anal:confused: (needless to say I'm not with either guy). Secondly, they seem to think I live in a thong bikini and am always up for it (not true)

Unfortunately stereotyping happens whether you like it or not. For example when you go abroad and tell someone you're Irish - they'll more than likely automatically assume you like to drink whereas in reality, you might not drink at all. That's the basis of these ridiculous "rules" people come up with and it's all pants if you ask me cuz everyone's different. Where you're from shouldn't be a factor.

I always find these threads full of "Ive went out with a Polish, Russian, French, Italian and Latvian girl in my time...." extremely unbelieveable, i.e alot of them are talking sh1te.

Why? Because from personal experience 98% of attractive foreign birds in this country have brought the boyfriend with them:(

Which is a shame seeing as I always seem to get on well with foreign birds. Theyre alot more interested in what you have to say than the Irish, who are well used to it :D

It wasnt my intention to start a thread to compile racial sterotypes. But in fact to see if people had GENUINLY experienced any cultural difference in dating people from other countries. For Instance I once dated a Italian girl. There is very little pub culture in Italy. She much preferred gong o the theatre or for dinner, then going to the pub for the night. Has anyone else had a similar experience.

the reason that people think brazilian girls love anal comes from that film city of god...they are talking about heating a banana in an oven...i think thats where it has perpetuated itself from..

Currently going out with a Polish girl. No differances really. As mentioned there isn't as strong a pub culture, they tend to stay at home and get hammered, but other then that they're isn't much.

Why treat girls\ladies of different nationality any different? If you can’t be yourself with each of them then they and you are not worth dating  :D

Currently going out with a Spanish girl, no real cultural differences between the two of us. They don't drink as much as us really, but that's to be expected. Other than that they're big into their British pop culture, so tbh I don't even think about it that much and neither does she, as there is nothing to notice.

Rules? First I've heard of it and I'm a "non-Irish chick"

R-u-l-e-s? Never been one for them myself. Yes, there are cultural differences, but you can make it a good thing! Even, for example, Irish women kiss differently from Serbians, but who says thats a bad thing!

I'm currently going out with a girl from India. So far there haven't been much cultural difference, other than small things, like liking some different music and stuff. I wouldn't think there'd be much difference when it comes to British or American girls.

why doesn't that guy above believe that people may have gone out with birds from many countries? Me? I've had g/fs from canada, sweden, britain, and now German. The Swede and the German both thought/think I drink too much and aren't into going to the pub that much. Apart from that, at the end of the day, they all seem to moan at you about the same sh*t.

The first rule is that you're not supposed to tell them there are rules.

Hmmmm seems I was the source of this thread having mentioned the 3 date rule.....this was an observation and I guess rule was a bit harsh.

Having lived in the US for a while I found the dating scene to be much more "strict" so to speak. You pull a girl, you kiss, you exchange numbers, you text, you call then you go out as couple. You went out as a couple had dinner, went bowling etc. and after 3 or so dates she asked do you want to stay at mine. One nighters were a rare enough occurance.

Compare it to Ireland, meet girl, kiss, exchange numbers. Text 'you out tonight', she replies 'in Flannery's with the girls'. You go to Flannery's meet her crew and in the next couple of nights out you bump in to each other intentionally and eventually you're asked back to hers or vice versa.

It's just a different style of dating.

I dind't mean to promote a stereotyping thread!
