Is it just me or the Brennans bread ads getting a bit long in the tooth.

I heard one today going on about "Jose Moringo". The whole, says he, says I, rubbish is really getting on my nerves now.

One prefers the oral exctasy that accumulates from a Pat The Baker's loaf. It also saddens one when others sour their slices with virtual butter rather than the genuine composition of a cow's udder.

I absolutely HATE those ads! Why don't they ever change them? Its always the same voice, the same catchline thingy and the same "music"!:p

Might have something to do with a little thing called tradition

Such as the time honoured tradition of making today's bread today?

They are a bit dated now alright. There were some good ones over the years though.

My fondest memory of them was from a few years back when I heard a tape of a spoof of the ads. I don't know who did the voice, but it was a perfect copy of your man's voice. It may even have been him, taking the mickey out of the ads.

    Basically it went as follows:

"I was talking to oul' Mr Brennan the other day, and I asked him what was the secret to the freshness, the taste and the texture of Brennan's bread."
"Well", sez oul' Mr Brennan, "why don't you just f**k off and mind your own f**king business".

A fine portlaw loaf is the only one to have.

Gentleman? One is taken aback by your suggestion that one is of a masculine being. :(

I like the Brennan's Bread and Harvey Norman adverts. I despise McDonald's ads though. I'm not loving them.
