Royal Mail - Who is their carrier in Ireland?

    I am awaiting on a new fishing reel I bought on ebay. Says it takes 3 days to get to Ireland. It was posted this morning which means should be here friday...hopefully...

    I am just wondering since I have to sign on delivery of it who the carriers is or would be? hardly an post would it since SDS is gone...

    Still An Post afaik - they also do EMS and priorty mail.

    i still get parcels from an post from the royal mail and even thou sds is gone a sds van delivers it with a sds sticker on it

    almost 100% sure they dont deliver at the weekend.

    No.

    SDS vans are still used but the distribution centre was closed down and ever since the delivery times for parcels has been rubbish, no surprise really.

    Royal Mail use an post for regular post including packages up to a certain size but anything sent through their Parcelforce company is delivered in Ireland by GLS.

    3 days if your very lucky, probably be over a week.
