Checking convergence, in FEA, using a constrained point?

    Is it possible to check convergence for, von Mises stress using a constrained point? I know it is advisable to go with the max point, but in this case it occurs at a constraint. Or when checking convergence can it be any arbitary point as long as it is in the same position in between meshs?
