Best week yet

I've just had my best week yet since I started full time. Made just over €2500 4-tabling 0.50/1 on ppp. I've just come off an extreme dose of tilt lasting 2 - 3 weeks (resulting from two terrible bad beats for my whole stack at 1/2 in the space of half an hour) that caused me to moved down stakes and cost me about €1000 in the end, including my first loosing week (-€700) in two months.
Pulled in about €1000 last week but it was a scrappy grand, the tilt was still causing me to pay off hands where I knew I was beat and make other mistakes here and there, but at least I was back making money. What doesn't kill you will only make you stronger, so I think this has worked out best in the long term as it's going to take some extremely bad luck to top those bad beats and put me on tilt again. Anyway, just thought I'd update yez on how the poker was going full time, as I don't have a blog and don't get to post about mtt wins cos I don't play them.:)

I've gotten more into hold'em cash games lately at the 25c/50c and 50c/$1 NL levels. How loose do you play (roughly on average) regarding your starting hands?

Have a look at rakerebatereview - I think you can get 20% Rakeback on DoylesRoom on the Tribeca network. I 2table 3/6 limit for about 3 hours a day and Ive gotten $280 rake back so far this month

Any suited A or K - suited Q depending on position/limpers. AK-A10 down to J10 suited or unsuited. Suited connectors and two (sometimes three) gappers down to 45. Unsuited connectors 910 or better. All pockect pairs, any position. This is in general what I'll play - if there is 1 or no limpers, I'll play any A from CO or the button, and K's down to kicker 8, unsuited connectors down to 45 and two/three gappers unsuited down to Q9/J9 from the button.
Also, you can save yourself alot of hassle/money by only calling raises with pp's and AK, unless the villain is raising alot and you've got position, then you can call with the suited connectors and AQ/AJ/KQ.

I'm planning on setting up an account on doylesroom, just waiting for the credit card to arrive.

Luke: I live quite comfortably off a few hours of playing shorthanded .50/1 NL every weekend. I do this by playing practically every single hand.
