Personally think they are excellent, very skilled and have a great dynamic. Work brilliantly together with timing etc.
    Very good music.

Yup I'd have to agree with Tar.Aldarion there, but I feel they have to be experienced live for full enjoyment.

They're brilliant, on album but amazing live. I love the way you can feel the chemistry between them, the way they work together to keep each other in time and their mix of heavy metal and classic gutair.
Plus I got their setlist last time they played Vicar street, oh I was a happy bunny! :)

They're amazing.. as said before though they really are better live, hard to picture them playing the way they do until you actually see it. Last years olympia gig was brilliant.

I haven't seen them live yet unfortunately, but the album I have is fantastic. I'm a fan of Spannish guitar anyway, but regardless Rodrigo y Gabriela are still good in their own right.

Hell, a lot of time they just play some Megadeth meddleys, and even in their original stuff you can really tell they're heavily influenced by Marty Friedman. Certainly not a bad man to be influenced by, I must say.

I really love the quite explicit irony that many of the fans of Rodrigo y Gabriela who would never even dream of picking up a Megadeth CD, are sitting there and absolutely loving a pair of guitarists who are quite simply playing Megadeth. :v:

absoultly 10000% true, my couisin who has been reared in a cave in co. clare is a genius guitar player but plays only trad, beetles that kind of thing, i made him go to see rod y gab. he rang me after his quote being " it was amazing how they could make what ever you call them fellas megadeath or something, they could make it sound like REAL music" needless to say he had to remove his guitar from across his head the next time i seen him

gonna see them in the sky venue in portlaoise tomorrow, gonna be great. Saw them before in the olympia and twice at oxegen (this year and two years ago i think)

saw them live on tuesday. Absolutely amazing. I don't think you till you actually see them live one can get a whole grasp of the way they play. I mean their music sounds so layered, for just two of them, it's amazing stuff.

They have a song on "re-foc" that was dedicated to Dave Mustaine after his hand was knackered and he had to stop playing. See they're supporting David Gray at The Point, should be a nice surprise for some people there...

    Almost definately!

I saw them last week in UL, and it was an amazing gig. They played all the usuals and some stuff from the new album. They ended by playing Wish You Were Here and everyone in the audience sang it. Absolute quality

They have to be seen live to appreaciate them, Saw them recently in Sky Venue and it was unbelievable!!

I have their Live CD(Manchester/Dublin) and it's brilliant, I love the way they throw in bits of other songs now and then, like when they play the whole first Master of Puppets solo in one of their songs. It's great that they're getting mainstream appreciation.
