New Music Cds wont go onto my Lappy?

    Hi guys whats the deal with not been able to put the new cds on my lappy? Is there a block you used to just be able to copy and paste

    You need to rip them, you obviously cant just copy them. use Windows Media Player 10 or else audiograbber or similar

    Can you elaberate abit?
    what have you tried so far, what program did you try ripp them with?

    Personally I find iTunes is handy enough to ripp CD's with.

    I could have swarn i used to just copy and paste. How do i rip them then ?

    in windows media player 10 click on Rip, thats about it really. Click on Tools on the top of the screen to configure your options.

    you cannot copy and paste tracks from a cd because all the files are cue files, signifying a specific area on the disc where the track starts rather than it being an audio file itself.

    For managing audio, itunes is probably the best out there. Windows media player can rip cds too but as an alround audio management/player program, its not that good.

    You could also try FreeRIP very easy, straight forward ripper. Google to grab it.
