Problem with Excel 2003 over network.

    Hi

    I have a Windows 2003 network setup with different flavours of Windows on the workstations (majority Win2k and WinXP). One workstation has Excel 2003 and WinXP on it. When accessing some excel files across the network and then trying to work in the file i.e. formatting, printing etc. I get an eggtimer for about 20 to 30 seconds. I have tried a repair reinstall of Office 2003 but still the same. Other programs work fine and most of the excel files are ok. Anybody know what the feck is going on? Spec of the PC is as follows

    P4 3GHz
    1 Gig of Ram

    Are those files bigger than the other files that work fine by any chance?

    I checked that. One of the files is only 76kb.
