Problems getting burned DVDs to play

    Hi, I need some help. I've been using DVD Shrink and Nero to try and copy a few DVDs I have. I've tried several different options :

    Saving the files to the HD in the AUDIO and VIDEO folders and burning with Nero's DVD option
    Saving to the HD as an ISO and burning with Nero
    Saving to the HD and buring directly with DVD Decrypter (option in DVD Shrink)

    Everything goes through perfectly, but when I pop the disc in the PC and the DVD software loads to play it, it just freezes. Doesnt matter what software I use. I have also tried the same disc on a friends PC - same thing happens. The strange thing is, when I put the disc into the standalone Philips dvd player hooked up to the DVD, it plays perfectly!
    And theres one other thing, one of the discs does actually play on the PC, but I did nothing different that time than I did all the other times. I just dont get it. The discs are DVD-R.

    Anyone help?

    what dvd playing software is it?
    maybe try playing it in real alternative or something like that
