    Hi all,
    thanks for reading,
well basically doing a college course , that i though i would finally like , im in 1st year but now its getting too much for me. I also work part time in a job which demands late hours which means when i get into school sometimes i miss my classes, my lectures have noted this and instead of saying this to me privetly one called my name out in the class, and basically stated this was unacceptable.
What was worse was a few weeks ago, i forgot some notes for my class and our teacher asked us for them but when she noted that i didnt have mine, she basically singeled me out in front of everyone "why dont u have them?!" "how many times did i tell you to bring them in?!", well that really depressed me, because im trying my level best but i feel so unhappy and when i go into the classes, i feel sick, probably worse is that i joined the course a little late so everyone has their own "click" so its hard for me to express this to anyone.
i really do want to pass this course, i know if i drop out my parents will be so disappionted with me. Im worried about my future too, that if i dont pass this course, will i spend the rest of my days in a low paying job?
i know to some this might sound trivial but its something thats on my mind constantly , and im very depressed about it
thanks for taking the time for listening

Are you working just to get through college? It might be worth talking to Student Services to see if they can help. DCU (dunno about the others) has a fund of money to help students like you get by. What about your parents, can they help you, especially if you explain to them that you're having problems doing both.

It might also be worth looking at changing jobs, trying to find just a weekend or occasional job that doesn't involve nights.

i really do want to pass this course, i know if i drop out my parents will be so disappionted with me.
But do you want to pass it from the enjoyment of the course content?
Do you see your future from this career?
If so, you have to tackle whats holding you back.
Like what has already been said, are you working through get through college?
It's clearly have an affect on you and this needs to be tacked.

Dont worry about the "clicks" - they always exist. Is there any clubs or socs in the college you can join?
Anyway, since you're in 1st year (and with the high rate of drop outs and changes), 2nd year is always different... and hopefully you'll be there to enjoy it.
    Best of luck :)

    "click" sp= "clique"
