I started playing limit recently and am going really well, have been destroying the 2/4 3/6 and 5/10 shorthanded games on pokershare.'

A couple of questions for Nicky and other limit players
What are the recommended brs for the different limits?
What should your BB per hour win rate level out around?
Do the games get much tougher after 5/10 or is it more a question of having the br, havent seen much difference in opposition between 2/4 and 5/10

How many hands have you put in Oscar?

At 5/10 a BB/100 of 1 to 2 BBs is considered very good over a long period. At the moment mine is just .75BBs/100 over about 70K hands at 5/10. Shorthanded limit is probably the swingiest ring game you can play so your bankroll needs to be heavily tanked. I havne't played much limit lately as I've found I can make the same money from SnGs with less variance. 300-400BBs is probably about right for 3/6. For the higher staked games 2+2 talk about having a bankroll of anything up to 1000BBs!

My computer is too slow to run pokertracker and play poker at the same time, Ive got around 15 hours of two tabling at 3/6 and Im up around 200BB, I had a feeling I had either been running really well or just found some really soft games

200BBs in 15 hours is Huuuge!! Nice one. I have days where I've made that much then lost the same amount over 2 days. Long term limit could drive you crazy. Keep it up. For good Limit strategy check out anything written by Jim Brier or Phil Helmuth. Don't read Skansky/Malmuth on shorthanded limit.

As Nicky said shorthanded limit has a very high variance. I'd say you need minimum 400BB's for this or be aware of your money and drop back if you're running bad.

You can run UltimateHistory without running PT and import the hands later. Should lesson the strain on the PC.
