BBC Scotland are showing the CIS tie between Celtic vs Rangers on Wednsday night. Anyone know if this is on Digital or Terrestrial (sp?) TV only?
I know setanta are also showing it which sometimes means a no no for BBC digital, depending on rights etc.

Yes - CIS games will be on DSAT as well. Motherwell are on BBC1 Scotland tomorrow night, and Celtic and Rangers are on Wednesday.
    C'mon the Hoops.:)

    BBC1 Scotland FTA.

CIS Cup not affected by rights.

Its the same with the Celtic League Rugby on BBC 2W and S4C~. You can watch them there, and on Setanta (and live football on five)

The BBC's CIS Cup rights have been negotiated since they lost the SPL to Setanta/STV. Before that, the BBC had the SPL, but that contract was written before the BBC went FTA, so BBC Scotland at that time, had to blank the screens for SPL matches on satellite, until the end of that contract. It meant a whole season was not on satellite.

Setanta effectivly only have the rights to cable in Ireland.

(and moz, you did spell terrestrial correctly! ;))
