I have started to use Azureus and found that after 2-3mins the pc reboots itself.
I power it down at this stage as I thought it could be spyware etc trying to gain access on the reboot ???

I searched the web and turned off the auto-reboot under system management.
I re-used Azureus and the attached screen showed --instead of powering down. Looks like it's a memory dump of some sort.

    any ideas folks.
    It's only when I use Azureus --- and don't say - don't use it !!!!:p

Sorry mods - this a copy from 'open source'

heya, this prob might not help but do it anyways to see if it works. reinstall it and then go to your control panel and go to windows firewall and go to exceptions its the second tab in and add Azureus to ur firewall...dont think this has anything to do with it but hey i dont know much, lol.....

It's a problem with your network drivers it seems. NDIS.SYS is a network card driver file. I used to get this in NT4 if any networking settings were changed. The fix then was to reinstall the latest service pack - it's still worth a try here.

Otherwise try removing all network drivers and reinstalling them.

[edit]Strange that it's only when you use Azureus though - if it was network related i'd expect it to happen when browsing as well. Just to eliminate things try a different torrent client like BitLord or the standard BT client. It could just be Azureus making a dodgy call to the network. If it works with another client then uninstall Azureus completely and re-download it in case it's a dodgy download.

It's an IRQ conflict occuring with your network adapter (NDIS). Install the latest drivers for your network card and XP SP2. A quick google also suggests disabling Norton AV to see if that's causing it (if you have Norton installed).

macros - bitlord downloaded and running fine for last 10 mins.

I am using a usb dongle to connect wirelessly to my router so - how could my network card be a problem or the drivers - if there is none to be used.
where will I get the updated drivers -- if I am incorrect with the statement above ?

If it is Az - should I un-install and leave it alone and just use bitlord instead ??

    thx
