    hey i was wondering is their any program that u can track ip address and find the exact location of the ip....or is this illegal

    Nope, not the exact location

    http://www.ip2location.com/ and such take a stab at the general vicinity but can't gaurantee anything.

    This should list the routers, you might get a clue that way. The ISP may also give a clue as to if they are using cable/bb or dial up (not as much as previously) or more importantly if they are likely to have a fixed IP or not

    No, if what you want is specific information (e.g a street/house number) then the only way to get tihs information is from the ISP themselves - and even then they require a court order/warrant.

    The services/tools mentioned can do no more than pin and IP down to at best a specific city/town.

    Is this a new question?

    Only older, unpatched systems are susceptible to it.

    It sounds suspiciously like you are enquiring on how to maliciously attack a system. That is not what this forum is for.

    ya i know....sure all forms can get ur ip once u post....they can mess around wit it if they wana coz its the college server....
